Hours
When school is in session, the Learning Commons is open for student use, unless there is need to close for some special presentation.  Groups do schedule to use the library both during and after school, so please check the front doors or online for signage warning of restricted use.

Location
The Learning Commons is located inside the front doors to the left, across from the main office.  If you are visiting, please remember to sign in at the main office (visitors) or attendance (students) so we know who is in the building at any given minute.

Mission
The Learning Commons supports the district's goal to have every student read at grade level.  The Learning Commons' MOBOCES SLS Member Plan Goals are (1) to enhance the quality of research  (2)  to embed the TLC into the instructional process, and (3) to increase the sophistication level of our student's usage of electronic devices.

Borrowing Privileges
Students in good standing can borrow up to 4 items at a time.  The typical loan period is  3 weeks.  Overdue notices are sent to your homeroom.  Repeatedly ignoring overdues blocks your access to library materials and can put you on the student obligation list, which may cause difficulties when you wish to graduate.

InterLibrary Loan
The Learning Commons will borrow materials from other libraries upon request.  This may take 1 day-2 weeks, depending  upon the location and access the lending library provides.  Students are responsible for return of all items ON TIME and IN GOOD CONDITION.

Expected Behavior
Be conscious of others around you.  Respect their right to a quiet study space with no distractions, and behave in an appropriate manner.
